Inflection

It's been a slow start, but I have begun working on my costuming/clothing pieces for "Inflection." None of the pieces are finished yet but I will start to post periodic camera images of what's happening so far.

A charmuse neck corest/posture collar lined in cotton jersey. Finished item will include more lace on bottom and top as well as 1/4 inch steal spiral boning. Will be available in different colors and run for about $70.00

A Song of Ice and Fire

So close to the new season of A Game of Thrones. I can't wait! I have such a long list of books to read this year and yet all I want to do is re read A Song of Ice and Fire for the third time.

Anyone who hasn't done so at least once, needs to do so.

Videodrone

Album: Videodrone, 1999

I received Videodrone as a promo while working at Tower Video. I put it aside for a few months then finally listened to it and with the exception of two songs, loved it. And still do. I love Ty Elam's voice. And while I don't think it was meant to be, the whole album on a whole is sexy. Particularly Power Tools for Girls and Faceplant. This was probably unavoidable given Ty's goth rock history.

And in case anyone is wondering which two songs I do not love:
Pigs in a Blanket. It has a rap section provided by Psycho Realm. Considering that it was the end of the 90s it's not horrible it's just not so great. I don't mind it so much because I don't really mind B-Real's voice (Psycho Realm, Cypress Hill)

Human Pinata. Why? Because Fred Durst.

I could also do without Jonathan Davis (Korn) doing vocal on Ty Jonathan Down but, like Pigs in a Blanket, it's not horrible. And I suppose if he didn't do some vocals they would have to change the name of the song.

A Game of Thrones RPG (console and PC)

I watched the trailer from the new Game of Thrones RPG that's coming out this year. Probably in April to coincide with the new season of the HBO series. It will be available for PC, PS3 and 360. I will more than likely use the 360 version.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it.

I'm just not getting that tingly feeling I've gotten with the release of Dance with Dragons or the first time I saw the teaser for the on HBO for the series. I want to be excited, but this trailer just isn't doing it for me. This makes me sad.

The game is being released by Cyanide, who I am admittedly not very familiar with. From what I've read you get to play as a member of the Night's Watch and a Red Priest. Both of whom are Robert Baratheon's Bastards (?).

This seems like a good move since it means it won't just be a video game rendition of the books. We won't know what's going to happen before starting the gameplay. We get to experience a new story. Also, as seems to be the case with anything related to his series, Martin has had a hand in it's development which is nice to know. But still, my excitement butterflies just aren't fluttering. Hopefully this will change once I get my hands on it.

Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails Made Someone Burn a House Down

Really? Come on now.

This girl probably needed help long before she knew NIN or MM.

Woman claims Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails told her to burn her parents' house down

Comic Con

Tickets for this years Comic Con are already available.

Here's to the next few months of costume preparation!

I haven't made up my mind yet but this year I'm thinking Kos-Mos.

And Miranda

Game of Thrones

I cannot wait for A Game of Thrones to start up again. It's going to be a magical time. I still clearly remember the near fatal heart attack I had when I first saw the 11 second spot on HBO after watching True Blood. Yes I still watch True Blood. I'm not proud of it. And no I didn't reallyhave a heart attack but I may as well have!

The point is that I'm super excited.

The Hobbit

I'm posting this because I've spent my morning watching The Hobbit production diary.

As many times as I watch this trailer, I still get all tingly inside when the dwarfs start singing. I can't wait!

Skyrim Master!!!

I am officially done with Skyrim for now. My goal was to stop after getting all 50 achievements. Yesterday afternoon, I accomplished this goal. Now I can go re start Skyward Sword which my Skyrim addiction has made me neglect.

Hi! Happy New Year!

I haven't posted any updates in about a month. I've been very busy with the holidays (playing Skyrim) and prepping for performances. But it's a new year now with lots of plans in place. And they are all plans that include regular post!

I've officially begun the creation of the items for the first season of "Inflection." Some patterns were created and sample sewing has begun. The major obstacle right now is finding a place to put everything in my small apartment. The lease is up at the end of March so here's to finding a bigger space.

On to topics involving my 360. Skyrim. I have promised myself that once I unlock every achievement, I would stop playing. I have three left. It was supposed to be two but I screwed up and had to go back about 7 hours. I can say that I have never attacked a game as thoroughly as I have attacked this one. Thanks Bethesda!

Xbox Live. Over Christmas weekend, fiems@126.com hacked into my live account, changed my password and stole over $130 from my Paypal account to purchase about 10, 000 live points. It was a nice suprise. Luckily , since the money was taken from my Paypal account, and Paypal has better service than Microsoft, the money was replaced and an acceptable spead. On the 1st, I received an email from Paypal informing me that they would reverse the charges and it would take a bout 5 business days. It cleared the same day. Thank you Paypal for being awesome.

When I call Microsoft, they told me they would have to investigate which would require them to freeze my live account for about a month. Meaning I could not sign on at all. That would suck.
I have decided from here on out, to use xbox codes to buy my points instead of keeping payment information on file.
